Private Instagram posts — from accounts you follow or your own — are exportable too, as long as you authenticate as yourself. ExportComments pulls their comments and likes into a spreadsheet.

Why export private comments & likes

  • Giveaways — capture every entrant on a private post.
  • Community records — archive engagement on your own content.
  • Research — analyse audiences you have access to.

How to export — step by step

Step 1: Copy the post or reel URL

Copy the link to the private Instagram post or reel you can already see.

Step 2: Add your sessionid

Private content requires authentication. Add your Instagram sessionid cookie under Advanced Mode → Authentication — see how to get your session cookies. You only ever see what your own account can see.

Step 3: Choose comments or likes

Paste the URL on ExportComments.com and pick comments (default) or likes.

Step 4: Start and download

Click Start Export Process, then download Excel, CSV or JSON.

Inside the export — what you get

  • Likes — likes on the comment
  • Comment — the comment text
  • Reaction — for likes exports, the like/reaction
  • Comment ID / Profile URL / Comment URL — identifiers and links (CSV)

Plan limits & API access

FAQ

  • Whose private posts can I export?
Only posts your own account can see — your own, or accounts you follow.
  • Is this against my account?
You're authenticating as yourself with your own cookie; keep exports reasonable to avoid being flagged.
  • Comments and likes both?
Yes — choose either; likes lists everyone who liked the post.
