ExportComments speaks Zapier through webhooks, so your exports can flow straight into the tools you already use — no code, no manual downloads. When a job finishes, a Zap fires and your data goes wherever you want.

What you can automate

  • Export → Google Sheets — append completed exports to a live sheet.
  • Export → Slack / email — notify your team the moment a job finishes.
  • Scheduled exports → anywhere — pair with scheduled jobs for a hands-off pipeline across 6,000+ Zapier apps.

How to export — step by step

Step 1: Get your API token

Sign in and grab your API token from your account — it authenticates the Zapier connection. See the API docs.

Step 2: Connect ExportComments in Zapier

In Zapier, create a Zap and choose ExportComments as the trigger app, pasting your API token when prompted.

Step 3: Pick a trigger event

Choose the webhook event that starts your Zap: export started, export completed, export failed, or export retried.

Step 4: Choose an action and turn it on

Add an action — Google Sheets, Slack, email, your CRM — map the export fields, then switch the Zap on. Each completed export now flows through automatically.

Inside the export — what you get

  • export.completed — fires when a job finishes successfully, with the extracted data
  • export.started — fires when a new export begins processing
  • export.failed — fires when a job fails (private content, invalid URL, etc.)
  • export.retry — fires when a job is requeued after a temporary failure

Pair it with scheduled exports

Combine Zapier with scheduled exports for a fully hands-off pipeline: schedule a recurring export, and let the completed-export trigger push fresh data into your sheet or chat on every run.

Plan limits & API access
